Usually anytime you are getting your link out there on the web you have the possibility of getting a backlink. If you put your URL in the youtube video description then this backlink should be great.

I'd think of YouTube as traffic links rather than backlinks. Incredibly useful if you get the right viral video.

Also, there is evidence that even no-follow links carry a small amount of search engine optimisation juice in Google (and, there are search engines who use them other than Google).

Well although link in youtube is nofollow still you can will find lots of youtube videos in the top of google for different keywords.I think the nofollow link also get indexed but they take more time to index than the dofollow links.

Nope, they do not. Youtube only offers nofollow backlinks and so, no link juice is passed.

I think youtube is better for traffic rather than backlink, if you provide url in your profile than it make do follow link juice.
