Safe to link my blog to sites like redgage?

What I mean by this is will it hurt either my blog, or articles on redgage/shetoldme/squidoo if the same thing is on my blog as one of those?
I was planning to reproduce my blog posts on sites like these (I have 5 in total). But is this wise or will it hurt my ranking?
I have read somewhere that it may be alright if they are only on a few websites not hundreds, is this true?
I can rewrite them if it is an issue, but why would redgage allow me to sync it to blogger/WP/facebook etc to pull in posts from there?
