Hell,
I have this blog autoshortnews.com .Is 2 years old but i think to change the domain name because is to long. I found a domain like auto3ty.

What do you think... to change the domain name or to keep it ?

  • Just from looking without seeing what you are marketing I'd say keep the name.
  • What does auto3ty mean? What does autoshortnews mean? Are you going to be advertising the domain names or relying on Search Engine traffic?

    • I'd stick with your current domain name - it can be said out loud quite easily and the spelling is straightforward. It's much more memorable than your alternative.

    • Yeah, what he said. Both of these domains are horrible and meaningless.

  • I don't understand
    I did Google: autoshortnews.com without "" and shows #1
    With "" 138K + 1 Ad.

  • Don't change the name. It's already indexed at #1 for your keywords and the least thing you want to do is drop off the page.

But you do need better SEO work for other major keywords.

    • I would join with the posters above and say that keep it as it is. The domain is not that long and it sound a looks alright. But if you really have set your mind to change it then that is not end of the world either, if you do it properly you can really minimize the impact and it is better to do it sooner then later but you better be 100% sure that the new domain name is the one you really want.
  • If you're getting traffic, keep the name. It dosn't matter what it means if people click your links in the SERPS.

What does Zazzle mean? What does Buzzle mean?

Some people act like they never heard of branding!
  • That keyword in domain is good to have.Keep that,You can easily rank in google
  • Your current domain isn't too long IMO.

    • Too long ah? I believe you're a bit confuse.
Your site from your signature link contains 20 characters.

  • One hint that I will give you that others have omitted is that if you have an idea for a domain name then keep it to yourself; if we like the look of it we will not hesitate to pinch it if it is available lol
  • I agree with the others on this...

I think you current domain is just fine, and certainly not too long.

The new one you are considering isn't nearly as memorable as your existing one.

    Keep up the good work,

  • Keep the one you have, especially since you are already listed at #1. It's not too long at all.

    • Thanks to all for the answers.
      I will keep this domain.
  • If you're already using it with success, why change it because it's too long? It could be worse... like 4 or 5 words.
  • Yep keep it, it's not too long and it's more appropriate and meaningful I think than the other one.

  • If you are owner of the site you said, i don't see any reason that you change it. The current name is good and have meaning. IMO changing it is a mistake as you should start promoting a new website which is not easy as you know.
  • the domain isn't even long, you dont wanna loose all your backlinks and previous rankings
  • your current one isn't too bad, otherwise it'd be painful to buy a better one
