Ive spend quite a few dollars this week here on WF buying
backlinks, PRs, Articles, blog commenting) etc and from what I can tell it has helped my SITE in serps . So my question is

If I where to do the same for lets say my YELP listing will it help? or it wouldnt matter?

  • I don't know a lot about Yelp but it is still just a web page. I have had a lot of clients do backlinking etc to Superpage.com and it helped them rank that directory page higher in SERPS.
  • Well, paying dollars is not the good approach to get higher rankings, you are suggested to employ organic SEO, though you may not get speedy response, but you will taste the sweet fruit in long run - for sure.

  • you can backlink anything...though you could get certain properties banned if you're not careful, like hubpages, squidoo...etc.
  • Definitely. That would be a good strategy too, to get the other pages that host your website information and link to get ranked.

    • I wonder if doing BLACK HAT SEO on pages that contain my BUINESS info can get me ranking faster without the worry of my ORIGINAL SITE beign banned or blacklisted from the BIG G?

  • Yelp is local business listing like superpages, merchant circle, google maps, yahoo local and so on this kind of SEO is also known as citation well you submit your site with a complete info to local listing sites in order to get local backlinks.
  • Yelp is just another site and it's no different.So as long as you can create relevant backlinks, it will help.
