I'm getting ready to sign up for an Adsense account but I have heard and read that Google will only approve sites that are at least 6 months old. If this is true is there a way to get a new site approved?

    Well that depends on where in the world you are.
    Here is the quote straight from the horses mouth.

    "Please keep in mind that in some locations, including China and India, we also require publishers to have owned their sites for 6 months. We've taken this step to ensure the quality of our advertising network and protect the interests of our advertisers and existing publishers."

    So, if this applies to you then yes those are the rules.
    I used a site that was about a month old and was approved, but that was a while back.

    If you live in the good ole US of A I don't think you will have a problem with a site that's say a month old.

      Thanks for the info. I was wondering since I have seen several adsense sites for sale on Flippa and here that were new and I was surprised they were approved due to the low quality of the site.

      For those of you here that were approved when you 1st opened an Adsense account, how many pages of content did you have on your site?
