I have found that "Page 1" isn't all it's cracked up to be. There's a lot to be said for Page 2 and I have named spots #11 and #12 the "sweet spots" for a few of my sites.

In addition, aside from what's getting traffic and page position - take a look at what's getting "conversions".

So many variables to consider here:
- Title/Description may not appeal to Bing/Yahoo users (different demographics from Google users)
- Approximately half of all daily searches are unique (I'll try and find a source for this). Maybe your pages are showing up for a lot more unique queries on Google than they are on Bing/Yahoo.
- Are you comparing traffic from the same search queries across the two search engines?

And like Trish said, are you converting the same across the two search engines?

I and others on this forum have said this before, Yahoo/Bing traffic is of higher quality as far as conversions are concerned. However, the sheer quantity of traffic Google sends makes up for what it may be lacking in quality.

Google is always at top in search engines. Recently yahoo and Microsoft combined to compete with Google but its not effective. More than 60% to 70% users use Google and its my favorite.

Thanks for your input here folks- true there are a lot of unique google phrases eg 'seo web design company near denver'- which I'd never use. I guess I could check these out on B/Y. Ultimately there is nothing wrong with traffic whatever the source/query.
Interesting what you say about B/Y traffic being 'better traffic'- hadn't come across that one before.
