How many Redirections allowed in a website

I just want to redirect many of the pages in my website.
Eg : abc.com/help.html to abc.com/helpguide.html

Similarly nearly 250 pages, i am going to redirect. I just want to know is it legal to have this much redirections?? and how many redirections approved within a website as per google guidelines? Do you have any experience with this?

Please help me with this

    Instead of "direct" 301 re-directs, if you are using wordpress, you can use the plugin explained in this article, given the voulme involved. It still gives 301 redirects but you do not need to fiddle with your .htaccess file.

    As said above, there is no rule guiding the number of redirects you can have. It has to do more with the practicability.

    There are no limitation to redirect numbers of pages to one specific website. It's a normal thing that lot of webmasters follow as well. Anyway,you can use control panel for 301 redirection process.
