  • keyword domain is probably the better way to go as part of the "free" SEO. You get extra 'points' from Google by doing nothing much.

    • indirectly this is what I would advise. Keywords in the domain name is about a 6 year-old factor. plenty of sites rank for highly competitive keywords without having the keyword in their domain name.

      It is better to have a domain name that is easy to remember and easy to type over a domain name loaded with keywords. I understand what may be a frustrating situation for you and that every day I see people asked this question.

      it would be wrong for me to get upset with people for trying to help noobs but it does get rather frustrating when people are vomiting out very outdated information. If I had to rate keywords in the domain on a scale of 1 to 1000 it would be in the lower 100s.

      If this is going to be a primary domain for you ( opposed to a supporting domain that only exists to drive keyword traffic ) then take a short domain name that is easy to remember.

      with the state of the economy right now domain names are easier to get because a lot of people are not holding onto them to try and get money out of the need for easy to type domain names.
