Google Webmaster Tools not accepting my sitemap.xml

Hey everybody,

Was wondering if somebody can help me out with a little issue I'm having with Google Webmaster Tools?

After hours of trying to submit my sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz to Google Webmaster Tools I'm still encountering an error with every attempt, I get a BIG RED "X" instead of a check mark.

I click on my sitemap.xml after webmaster tools has verified a problem and I get this error for every URL thats stored in the sitemap.xml

"Paths don't match
We've detected that you submitted your Sitemap using a URL path that includes the www prefix. However, the URLs listed inside your Sitemap don't use the www prefix."
Can somebody please help me resolve this issue?

Thank you.

    Whats the domain/url?

Is it a valid sitemap.xml file?

Does the sitemap.xml open in your browser from a manual search?

    • this question will probably lead you to the answer and the solution. It's most likely an invalid XML file so...

Find an XML validator load your site map into it... And it should identify the problem ( if he is a corrupt XML file ).
  • Paths don't match is likely because you are mixing your usage of with-www and non-www in your website/sitemap/gwt-settings URLs. Your XML sitemap can't mix different domain root paths in xml sitemaps
