Backlinks: Are they truly worth their weight in gold?

I have freshly started out in the world of affiliate marketing- exciting stuff. I am currently duplicating exactly the recommendations of an expert in the field as I believe that copying others success creates new success.

One of my most recent assignments was to purchase a pack of 'quality' Backlinks and do the necessary to link them to my site. Not having much funding I found myself doing this manually. The process of creating 41 (out of a pack of 50) successful backlinks to my site has effectively taken me 2 days with my slow internet connection- mind-numbing work!

My question to those who have been in the game longer than I have is this: Is it worth it to invest 2 full days a month to create backlinks to my site in terms of SEO or are there other things I can be doing cost-effectively ($5-$10) or preferrably Free to boost my ranking which will involve less time and effort than creating backlinks and possibly add the same value or more value to my site as a whole?

I really look forward to some input here as I am sure many have asked themselves the same question I am asking right now and I am certain that many have found beneficial answers to this same question.

you will finally succeed if you work on your online business. But 2 days a month is too few. Do couple of hours every day.

Hi, is there a recommendation or guideline as to how many backlinks one should create per month if we expressly know the rule that 'more is always better than less'?

Yes, I agree. Backlinking should be the main thing you do every day. A lot of the systems like sick submitter and senuke x will automate it for you. But, even if you do them manually, backlinking needs to be done. Also remember not all your backlinks will be accepted. So, the more you do the better. Then the good ones will filter through and raise your site up the ranks.

Link building really takes time. And you should spend the same to achieve success, according to me. Keep working!

You definitely need to be building backlinks if you want to be ranking. Keep your linkbuilding steady though, you don't want to build 41 backlinks in 2 days and then build 0 for 10 days. Keep a steady flow of 10-20 backlinks everyday to start with and then move up.

What type of links are you building?

      Thank-you Troy,

It really helps to have an indication of what goal to set daily.

I am currently building backlinks to forums as provided by 'Paul's backlinks' which is a standard pack of 50 per month.

Is there another reliable source which you would rather recommend I use?

Thank-you for the insight. Do you possibly have some suggestions for me of quality service providers who are affordable?

      This would be greatly appreciated.

SEO is continuous and you need to spend at least 1-2 hours daily for 5 days a week.

I always think natural and good slow back links is the best way to do it.

Shortcuts are kind of like making a dishonest buck, you eventually get caught and penalized. Honest bucks are harder to make, but once you succeed, you'll be fine.

That, like most other good things in life makes absolute sense.

Though we may be dying to see results in record time, especially when it comes to business, persistence and due diligence is definately the best way to go as it usually improves the overall quality of the end-product.

Thank-you, that sets my mind at ease that results will definately follow for the consistent effort.

There are some great services in the Warrior Special Offer forum but you have to be careful. Some of them aren't worth what they ask for.

Thank-you. I will definately take a look and weigh up my options there.

Always nice to know there is a support system right at your fingertips if you're prepared to ask and do your homework to find what works for you.

It is definitely worth creating backlinks to your website. This is what all the big boys do in order to drive business. The most important thing is to compare what you are getting compared to other services before ordering. WF is much cheaper than higher an SEO firm.

Thank-you for the confirmation. I will definately be taking a look at the services on offer with WF.

It is so reassuring to have confirmation that WF services are generally more affordable than other services as money is usually a huge factor when one is just starting out. Much appreciated.
