site suspended in adwords

i have just tried my first campaign on adwords and they have suspended my site. the page is a review of a product on clickbank. is it due to the page being a bridge page and what can i do to change it?

also does google only look at the page for affiliate links or the whole site because i have pages on **** berry and google apparently doesn't like those sites

Also what does it mean suspended?

    Only Google knows why they do what they do.
  • **** berri is correct that will not float googles boat, and there would be very limited products on cb that would meet terms.

    find a good relaible product to promote even from a normal affiliate site and put that on your site then get your suspension lifted

    once done tread careful with clickbank / adwords
  • I got banned years ago but to be honest it was a blessing in disguise as I've overcome it and doing even better than before.

    And regarding promoting Clickbank products via Adwords, I wouldn't bother. Google just hate these kinda products i.e. long sale pages, hypey claims and that's what Clickbank mostly consist of

  • That sucks.. but yeah, I think it's happened to all of us internet marketers..

    Only Google really knows.. I've had sites blocked, and other 'identical' ones not blocked. I have a friend whose site sells his own tangible product get banned on adwords. They seem to be inconsistent with the guidelines.

    Bottom line.. if G does like it.. it's going down

    • Assuming it was a landing page violation, I believe google only looks at actual landing pages used in campaigns to see if they meet TOS, not the whole site. If it was business practices you might be in more trouble.

      To get reinstated you have to correct any landing page that was a destination in any of your campaigns, ie, not remove it, but fix it to meet their guidelines.

      If you do that, and are committed to continue meeting TOS, ask for reevaluation, and be persistent, be polite, you may get there. If you get auto replies, reply to them asking for specifics because you want to fix what's wrong. Be persistent and patient and polite and you stand a good chance of dealing with a real person and having them escalate to a specialist who has the power to approve reinstatement.

      If PPC is not absolutely crucial to your business model, or if you want to stick to CB style affiliate marketing, it might be less trouble to look for alternative ways to grab eyeballs.

    • Did you get a message saying exactly what the problem is?

      If it's a landing page quality issue, I believe you can fix just the landing page in question, and not the whole site.

      You could fix landings only and try for reevaluation, requesting specifics about what problems remain. Then you'll know for sure.

      However, they are going to want to see that you have "changed your ways" and look like a model Adwords site owner, so I would be concerned about other pages that you link to.

      When I tried to clean up pages that had violated guidelines I went ahead and cleaned up the entire site and switched to a different model. I went to high quality unique articles and free download of ebook with affiliate links in there, no optin. It's nowhere near as good from conversion point of view, and no list building, but the Google reviewer did accept the pages as ok. Other pages I don't own were still a problem in my case.

      Read the Adwords guidelines for landing page quality and apply it exactly. You may have to really change what the page is all about - not just removing affiliate links but meeting Google's idea of a quality experience for the visitor.

      You have to decide if it's worth the effort of cleaning your page/site up and getting back into adwords when it means you may have a completely different strategy for the landing. It'll take an investment of time and patience too - you have to go through a few rounds of auto replies before you'll reach humans.
