Hey Guys,

When building new adsense sites, is it best to add the adsense blocks before or after indexing the site with google?

Your opinions would be appreciated.

cheers

Paul

It is recommended you add after it is indexed. But better still, add it only after it is getting regular traffic from its SERP positions. You don't want your traffic or clicks to appear dodgy, do you?

It will make no difference at all. But It would be almost pointless to add your adsense without getting traffic first.

Adding adsense to your site will not help get it indexed faster nor will it hurt you.

It makes no difference, you can add adsense once you create the site.

I think adding them in the beginning would only be bad if they are overbearing and new people to your site perceive your site to be an AD Whore. You need to keep the affected down anyway by blending the ends in with your site.

I would add my ad sense after getting indexed to keep from being listed as an MFA. Also, many social bookmarking services have poor conversion. Still, you can get back links from social bookmarking services. Check on Google Analytics the percentage of adsense revenue. Well, you will find that sites like Digg do very poor. Still, it can gain you exposure. This is good in the beginning for people to find out who you are.

Lol, at the guys that say wait.

As long as your page follows the Adsense TOS, do whatever the heck you want, it doesn't matter.

If the page has content, put the Ads on it ASAP!

If you had a new offline business, would you tell a customer you don't want their money (they'll have to wait) because your business isn't listed in the yellow pages yet?

That's funny. Let's see, I really don't want to start making money right away maybe it would be better to wait awhile.
