Do you know any good tool that checks the number of backlinks your site has?

I am using Traffic Travis although not sure how accurate it is...I saw an advert for 'rank tracker' this looks to be good on many levels, anyone used it before?

It's not accurate. Just tested it with one of my sites and it gives me 27 backlinks, but i know that i have more than 40,000 there.

Google Webmaster Tools. If you want to rank in Google, find out what backlinks Google is recognizing.

    Hi Tommy,

Use SeoQuake - seo toolbar, plugin, seo extension for Mozilla Firefox, arguably the best solution out there.
    (install the toolbar)

As for me, I always use ScrapeBox because I'd like to analyze my backlinks further.

None of them is 100% accurate if you're actively adding backlinks. Yahoo Site Explorer is maybe the best among imperfect choices. Google definitely will not show them all to you.

this is correct. Google back links are kept on a Google cache servers that serve up everything from PR to the actual cached page and back links. You will never get an accurate read from Google.

a lot of people just run around screaming Google analytics, Google Webmaster tools... For every question that is asked.

the ability for someone to show you your back links is limited to their ability to crawl the web. Very few entities have that ability. Yahoo is one of them. And probably the only reason they are listing back links over the years is because they are so desperate for traffic they will do anything.

try out zeoMOZ.org they have a very strong calling ability and a suite of tools I have not tried out yet because I just use their API. SeoMOZ will show you your top 2000 back links to any URL and I believe they're the most accurate at this point in time.

    Hello,

I mostly rely on webtoolhub for counting backlinks,or write link:name of your website and enter in search box of Google, Yahoo or Bing and get your backlink account but Google does not show all backlinks.

If its your own site then you can use Google Webmaster tool to check backlinks to your site.

If you are unable to use Google webmaster tool then Yahoo Site Explorer is my favorite choice for checking anyone's backlinks.

    Thanks
