Hey All,

Just wondering i have been using 5 different article submission sites to try and build some links and get my name out there a little bit more. I have a two part question here:

1st I publish articles on Squidoo, article base, go articles, amazines, tip bus and artipot. I were told that these were the best, would you guys agree?

2nd I have been hearing all kinds of things about duplicate content, is it ok to publish the same articles on these site? Or should i spin them?

Thanks in advance, i am pretty new to this and everybody keeps giving me different information.

Be clear that "getting some links" and "getting your name out there a little bit more" are two entirely different objectives, and they're likely to be served by submitting your work to different places. Be clear, also, that not all "article submission sites" are "article directories" and that there are enormously significant differences between using the two groups.

No, as it happens I disagree strongly.

But in a sense, it doesn't matter much who agrees/disagrees with which sites, for which purposes: what really matters is to understand the importance of publishing your work on your own site BEFORE submitting it to any article directories.

It depends whether or not they're article directories.

There's only one article directory that requires previously unpublished content ("Buzzle" - not one that many professional article marketers use, to put it mildly).

It may help you to form an appreciation of the very important and significant difference between "duplicate content" and "syndicated content".
