Hello warriors!

I actually just want your brief opinion/constructive criticism on my site. Actually, I'm only trying to rank for the homepage right now, so pay special attention to that.

In addition, I built some sections that I think will possibly be of an interest to someone looking for information about jogging (such as jogging diet, jogging tunes, equipment, etc.) Maybe planning to add a 'jogging tips' section as well, since it has a decent search volume.

Anyway - whatever comes to your mind in terms of optimization (visual, content, SEO, conversions...) - please let me know so I can improve upon.

Jogging Benefits

Cheers!

    Hi zannix,

I just checked out your website. I like it. It looks professional. Also it is attracting. Very thoughtful of you to pick such a niche as jogging because everyone who reads it thinks that they could do it, they could start jogging. Even I thought of starting it

However, I think you can still improve your website.
First of all, if I were you, I would add a youtube video to your website. It doesn't matter what kind of video you put, google search engine likes youtube. (how unexpected, huh? )
So, you should add a video to youtube with lots of tags according to your theme and put it on your website.
If you want even better SEO for your website, you should build a base of viewers.

There are a few creative ways you can begin to "seed" your video beyond posting links on Facebook and Twitter.

One idea is to post your content as a "video reply" to other related videos. This gives YouTube context as to what your video is about and starts a steady flow of traffic. To do this, search YouTube for the exact phrase you want to rank for (in this example, "casual sneakers"). Click on each video that comes up and post your new video as a "video reply" to those.

Next, start building links back to your video. The more websites that link back to your video on YouTube, the more relevant that video will appear in searches. The best way to do this is simply to find out who is linking back to the most popular videos in your category, searching for that URL in Google to see where it appears, and then reaching out to these sites to ask them to link to your videos.

Once your video has had a few hundred views (which doesn't take all that long), it should start appearing on Google for your key phrase.

Another thing, when I opened the page source, I noticed that you did't put much META keywords.
The first step in web site promotion is to identify the words people are most likely to use in a search for your site. After identifying about 5 to 10 words, write them up as your keywords and optimize the page using them. From now on these are the words you should use in your Title, META description, META keywords list, throughout your page and the ALT tags when using images.

Keep in mind that excessive repeating of META keywords could be considered as spamming by some searchengines and you might get penalized with a lower ranking for that practice. You should also mix your keywords in different combinations throughout the page and in your ALT tags instead of using the same phrase over and over again. Also remember to put your most important keywords as close to the <BODY> tag as you can.

So that was my thoughts and suggestions how to improve your website, have better page rank and obviously generate more money.

I hope it was useful for you and wish you the best luck.

    Tomas

I agree with eveything Tomas has said here. Adding video to your site is the best way to engage your client and also add tons of value in addition to any text on the page.

Thank you for your kind suggestions, I will definitely add an embedded youtube video on my site, and build backlinks (video replies) for it.

However, I did optimize my homepage for the keyword "jogging benefits" (which I'm trying to rank for) pretty well I guess. I heard that meta description tags and so forth do not have a big (or any) impact in terms of SEO? I could be wrong, though.

The embedded video will definitely be a great way to optimize your site. People love to see videos and they are more likely to buy stuff/opt-in... etc.

basic site optimization tips = keyword the category of your blog post, keyword the tags obviously and I even keyword the images which most people say not to do but I do what most people say not to do because it simply gets me results.

    That's the bottom line.
