Any scripts of programs around that can take a list of keywords and return the average monthly searches and total competing pages?

Besides Market Samurai? Tired of it working for a few days and then not working for several days. Need something that is reliable.

  • What's wrong with Google Keywords Tool? Why don't you use that?

    • That is what I am tired of. Can't run a business with software that only works some of the time. In fact I just downloaded 2 updates and the problem is still not fixed. The latest problem that is.

When it "does" work... It's a great program.

  • Keyword sniper pro can return seoc and monthly searches, but it is some what manual. It would probably take a while to do 50000+ keywords. It takes me around 30+ minutes to do 5000 to 10000 keywords.
  • I think that something realible are semrush or keywordspy, enter your competitor and see at his keyword's list. There will be also list of the similar competitive sites if click on them and export these lists than you can recieve a list with various words. Hope that will help you.
  • Rob,
If you find something that works other than MS...let us all know. I've been searching myself. I've had a lot of problems the relability of MS since the Panda update. It's frustrating. I know the guys/gals at MS are working on fixes...but like you said...you can't run a business on software that 'may' work when you need it to.
  • I agree, when something is found that can take a list of keywords greater than 1000 and spits back search amount plus SEOC, let us all know.

I had a list of 5000 keywords that I split in four so that MS could run a little smoother, the problem was that I got an IP ban from Google for submitting too many inquiries during a short amount of time.
  • I went ahead and applied for Google API access. If approved I decided to just code my own program to do exactly what I wanted.
