Hi,

Does same content on on different domains and urls count as my backlink?

Let's say I have an article, if I posted this same exact article to multiple article directories, would they be indexed and cached and count as my backlink or do they really need to be different or spun?

After Google Panda update you have to submit unique articles. After algo change lot of article directories hit down for duplicate content.

I think it's going to be pretty hard to say right now because of the panda update which is most likely going to eliminate a large amount of content from the Google index. Over the last few years Google has been flooded with mass spam content. In Google's position I would think they are going to do what they have done historically with spam and that is devalue it or eliminate it from the index.

Personally, I believe it will be necessary. Syndication is seriously at risk from the tests I have been running. I am already starting to spindicate instead.

According to me if you will spin your article before publishing it on different article directory then you will get better results

If it's backlinks you are after then general article directories are next to useless. Just submit to niche directories and then move on to other platforms such as web 2.0, press release sites, document sharing sites, private blogs, etc.

Yeah you should definitely spin it. It takes longer and is unbelievably boring but the results are a lot better.

  • few days ago i wrote a press release and submit the same press in different sites. i actually do not think it will be a count as a spam, but if you think it is risky then you can spin article

definitely not risky whatsoever. Spinning can cause more of your articles to be indexed. So it's more of a question of whether taking the time to spin, is worth the added reward.

Do you know how many big name sites would go down if spinning WAS necessary. This is simply a myth of IM that needs to be ended.

In summary, you get more benefit from unique articles. But there is no penalty for syndicating content. The choice is up to you.
