I am new in blog commenting. I want to do 'do follow' blog commenting for my site. But I wonder how you find relevant blog to place your comment? I mean there are plenty of blogs whcich is related to your keyword. But You can't post comment everywhere. What are the strategies? What do you do or how you find your desired blog for make relevant and good quality comments that will get approved. Thanks for the any help in advance.

Finding the blogs is very difficult job,Because you need to find dofollow and also autoapproved blog to get the backlinks quickly.
You might use market samurai to find the blogs with PR to comment on.Try to place one link to get approved.

      1. Get scrapebox if you don't have it yet.
      2. Enter: "leave a comment" OR "post a comment" -"wordpress" as the custom footprint. This will find non-wordpress blogs since most wordpress blogs are nofollow.
      3. Paste a bunch of relevant keywords in the keyword box.
      4. Harvest the URLs.
      5. Use the pagerank checker and remove low PR blogs.
      6. Profit.

You can use Google blog search, enter the keyword, you will get related blogs. However, today, more and more blogs becomes No Follow, it is difficult to find Do Follow blogs for comment.

But I hear scrapbox is not that reliable and also it is costly, though I have not used it yet. Is that right? What should I search in google to find do follow blogs? any short string?

I use Google Alerts and am able to find some good nuggets on a daily basis of do follow links. I also find since it is fresh content that they get indexed within a day or so which is great!

I don't find blog commenting as powerful as they were before. I'd go for profile backlinks and the traditional article marketing and social bookmarking, and making sure they get indexed.

Scrapebox will help immensely. You can use the keyword / Wonder Wheel scraper to harvest thousands of keywords related to your niche in a matter of minutes. You can use these keywords to find related blogs. If you search for just Wordpress blogs you can run them through the "DoFollow / NoFollow" addon in Scrapebox.

95-99% will be NoFollow. But if you've got patience and bandwidth you can build a pretty decent list in about 3 days or so. Most will require manual approval. But that's not a bad thing. You'll run into a lot of high PR posts to comment on. If your comment is on-topic and beneficial to the post you'll have a decent chance of it getting approved.

It is very hard to find out DoFollow blogs now a days. You try to find out searching in Google using key words. Then watch the blog is whether DoFollow or not by using NoDoFollow Add-on in your Mozilla Firefox browser.

Well, I think this gonna work. But don't you think it will take too much to find and judge whether it is do follow or not. This would have better if there exists any shortcut way.

To get relevant blogs for adding your comment, you can find it through Google search by :
    intitle:keyword "footprint"
    inurl:keyword "footprint"
footprints can be "post new comment" or "leave a reply" or anything else which you can see in any blogs.

But finding Dofollow blog is completely a manual work, so keep testing lots of blogs with your comments & links and you can get good numbers of such blogs quickly.

ScrapeBox is a nice tool to find Do-Follow blogs. I didn't like it when I bought it, seriously. All it used to do was find bunch of Spammy no-follow Blogs. But now it's changed because I learned how to use it properly. Now all it does is find DO-FOLLOW blogs for me. If you buy ScrapeBox, you might not like it but don't quit on it. It's a very powerful tool. Learn to Use it.

Reverse Engineering is also a good option. Get competitors websites in your keyword(s). Download SEO SpyGlass (It's Free). Paste the competitor's website in it and see their backlinks. You might find some nice Do-Follow blogs to comment on. *You can sort backlinks(competitor's site backlinks) by Blogs, Forums etc etc in SEO SpyGlass.

Relevant Backlinks are always hard to find. I do not go for relevancy. If my site is in health niche and I find a PR5 Page on Politics to comment on. I go for it. BACKLINK MATTERS.

Don't forget that it's not all about DoFollow links. Building link variety is important and has become a more significant part of the Google algorithm.

Blog commenting is still extremely powerful but it's not as automated as it used to be- it requires real effort that, done correctly, will definitely pay off.

We use Blog Comment Demon and nothing else. You can filter by NoFollow, DoFollow, page rank, captcha, category and lots of other parameters. BCD supports spin syntax AND will spin comments for you, but I don't recommend this. It also auto-fills the comments for you and then has a tool where you can run reports later to determine what comments were approved, when and at what URL.

If you write high quality comments using BCD, you WILL get a great deal of pre-qualified traffic, and you'll definitely get high quality links. It's only $67, so it's really a no-brainer.

Additionally, you can accomplish the same effect in Google using simple operators, but you can't track them as easily as you can with BCD.

Despite what others say, blog commenting is only dead to people who post crappy, spam-filled and poorly spun content. Create high quality posts and you'll get tons of benefits from blog commenting.

Russell, in your other post you said blog commenting demon is not working for you, i think this was in April. I see there is version 3. Is it working okay now?

Did anybody else use blog commenting demon, did they fix all those glitches etc?

I feel it's a difficult task to hit 1,000 blogs with crap comments and try to make any of them stick. I don't care how cutting edge the software is, or the technique.

Just taking 10 or 15 minutes every once in a while (once or twice a week) and making 2 or 3 comments is working smarter and easier in my opinion.

I've never once accepted a comment like "hey, great information! You is best blog out there. I am so blown away by your ideas."
....and people who have blogs we want to be linking to (those that will help our rankings) will never accept those types of comments. So what's the point?

You also have to do some No follow, if google see that all your links are coming from a Do Follow will get suspicious, it is not natural since most of the blogs are No Follow.
    My two cents

This is correct, you don't want ALL do-follow...however more people don't have this problem because they can't get any do-follow backlinks anyway!!

If you use scrapebox you can use the "do follow" too, but it only checks certain types of sites and really isn't that reliable. You can also "check links" for nofollow tags.

Ultimately it is getting very difficult to get good dofollow blogs to comment on, but once you get them they are worth their weight in gold!!!

        Dear Quasha,

Decide whatever you would like to do except this one thing - giving up!
Have you ever heard of reverse engineering of the competitors' links? I believe that 90% of links that most marketers gain come from that strategy.

These steps might get you started pretty soon:

        1. Google for some of your competitors' sites and collect the URLs from, say, pages 1 and 2.
        2. Dissect the incoming link spectrum of each of those sites. I mean, find each and every back link of theirs. SEO Quake Firefox plugin can assist you a lot. If not, just paste the URLs you find in the url field of seositecheckup site, and within no time you will get the whole link situation as an oil-painted picture. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to post links here, but it is as simple as that: seositecheckup. Start it with www and finish with .com
        3. Find the result the seositecheckup site gives you, i.e. the number of site backlinks
        4. Click on that result, and a list of urls will open.
        5. On that page, there is an option allowing you to export the list of the urls to a .csv file, so it it easy to store them locally on your computer.
        6. Open the .csv file in Excel. If the links are not clickable, you can do one of these: 1) use the Excel autoformat capability to format them into clickable links 2) copy and paste them into your web browser.

Got the idea? Just try and see if you can now get your links on the same sites. Not everywhere will it be possible, but on most of them it will.

Finding do follow blog is quite a hard task. But you can still find some blogs that are relevant to your site. Type in "blog search" in Google search bar and then you can specify what kind of blog you are looking for.

Here is the simplest and most effective instructions you will EVER need for blog commenting.

    1. Look at your computer screen
    1. Stare at my post
    2. Then.....look directly under it.
    3. Click twice, then enjoy success

lol seriously though, outsource what your trying to do, one hour backlinks can save you a huge headache for just a few bucks. Then you can use linklicious to ping your backlinks (Whats the point of getting all those backlinks if google never finds them, right?)

A lot of people have backed away from commenting since the recent changes with Google. IMO, gone are the days of blasting thousands of blogs at once with Scrapebox. At least, I don't think it will be as effective. But if you're willing to put in a little time manually commenting you can still get some pretty good results. Especially on keywords that aren't super competitive.

This makes no sense - and you sell links.

There is no way to differentiate between a manual link and an automatic one. And we've ranked sites using just comments post-Panda. I'm not saying diverse and higher quality links aren't better, but cheap links still work great.

What do you guys suggest about finding high PR blogs to comment on?

I have no trouble reading through the blog post and writing a good quality comment, but I dont have any software to find high pr blog posts (not domains, but actuall posts). Could be do follow or no follow. A mix of both would do.

If you're willing to invest some time in building your own list, Scrapebox. Definitely. You can get pretty specific with it. You can check PR, dofollow / nofollow status, make sure posts are open for comments, etc. All on a massive scale.

Using Scrapebox it usually takes me about 3-4 days to build the lists that I offer.
