3. Posting unique articles to web 2.0 sites with your link embedded in the content.

There are many other techniques, but the above are very effective IMO.

- Linkwheel
- Social bookmarking

All must be high PR and do-follow then you can get really nice high quality backlinks.

Social bookmarking
Article Submission
Press Release Submission
Blog submission
RSS Creation and Submission
Forum posting
Do Follow Blog Commenting
I prefer to Article Submission with good content, which is top quality.

Plain and simple,backlinks are links that point back to your site.They are links you have exchanged with or received from other sites,as well as links placed strategically by you in forum posts,blog posts and comments,and the resource box of submitted articles.

So far you've got plenty ideas for getting a quality backlink from all the Warriors so far, they all all work dude. But my best advice is to pick one you "like" the most and stick with it.

Press releases are also a good way to go. Similar to article submission, but if you make a real press release with compelling content and use targeted and/or local, high quality press release services, then you have the chance of not only receiving reasonable back-links from the article submission, but also social bookmarking (naturally) and perhaps even a high profile news/niche website that could run your story.

The best way to get quality backlinks is to get a range of backlinks to improve your site's overall link portfolio. Time and again have I seen sites rise to the top of the SERPs because the money site has range of different backlinks that are of high quality.

I am talking about blog commenting, social bookmarks, web 2.0, high pr links. Then backlinking your backlinks with thousands of forum profile links to give them more juice. Working wonders for me at the moment.

If you post a article in a single article site of relevant theme then only you will get a quality back link. Be active in forums find forums relevant to your website give ans of users from there you will get quality back link . Make a blog do guest blogging.

There's lots of ways to get good backlinks. You can guest blog, use article syndication, or even pay for links.

I used Build My Rank because I don't have time to find places to guest post. I do use article syndication occasionally, but usually outsource the writing.

A quality backlink is one from an authority site, i.e. has been around for sometime and has a nice PR (Page Rank), ofcourse if you are a new site, getting an authority backlink is a little harder unless your content is compelling
