Okay lets say i have optimized a page for the following key phrase:

"Blue leather jacket"

Will my site be optimized for all these keywords:
"Blue leather jacket"
"blue leather"
"leather jacket"
"blue"
"leather"
"jacket"

Because Google have no way to see what keyword i want to rank for? i hope that makes sense

  • in short yes
  • Obviously your main keyword will rank the best, but since the others are included within your main keyword phrase they will also be semi optimized.

    • Well if i just use "Blue leather jacket" in my title, description, and all over the page. How can google know what my main keyword is?
  • Well... yes it will, but you will have to build one heck of a site to see your URL ranking for the keyword "blue" or "jacket"
  • I think it will be, but also it depends of the search engine.
  • Your question was not very clear to me but what I am assuming is you wanted to know whether you will rank for Keyword B if you are building for any B related keyword. You will not get ranked to other keywords when you are building links for Blue leather jackets or whatever keyword it is. Although you may see your website ranking somewhere in top 500 for other keywords but again other keywords need link building as well.

    • Thanks, i think i understand now.

My keyword is not "Blue leather jacket" Just an example
  • For example take two important keywords and place in title and description and optimize for that. While use other keywords occasionally as intext.Once you got some good ranking for main keyword, you can move to others.
  • Once you rank for your main term, start getting backlinks with different text.
One of my sites ranks for

    free money making website

    I now backlink using

    money making website

and am in top 15 for that term
