Old domain, or keyword domain ?

Would you go for buying a 5-10 year old domain with absolutely no meaning whatsoever, or a brand new domain in which you have your keyword ? Why

  • As such I would prefer to buy the old domain (ofcourse if it is meaningful and satisfying my purpose) to the new one. Few of my friends have suggested that Google gives old domain an edge over the new ones.
