Google Banning IP For To Many PageRank Queries?

Hello warriors,

I was using TT to check out the backlinks to my competitors sites and then all a sudden google quit showing PR and has been that way for about 4 hours now?

Is my IP permanently banned? If so how do you get this fixed?

I appreciate the time and help in this matter..

Regards,
Dennis

Use scrapebox instead with proxies. You're probably not banned for life or anything. Just a couple days. But if you can't use proxies with TT this will happen all the time. Pay the $57 for scrapebox and you'll be glad you did.

      What he said.

Also, try Ccleaner & clear your browser history, maybe reset your modem/IP.

That sounds like a goof gull we all know and hate - at it again. They also do not like you running too many searches which is a laugh if you can imagine. Goof gull is after all a search engine company. They put our a message. OK so it says some thing like - using too many system resources. I have never had this problem with BING - never.

I had a recent similar situation.

The first time just took a few hours and everything was back to normal.

Another time I was able to clear my cache and sign in to another Google account to finish what I was working on no problem.

Hope it resolves quickly for you.

Always use proxies. Google slaps IP addys a lot, especially when you use programs like Scrapebox, MNF, Market Samurai, etc.

Well, I was using traffic travis, and it has been about 5 hours now.. I hope it does clear up soon, I tried clearing cache and restarting computer but still no dice..

I only analyzed 3 sites so it seems they dont tolerate much at all..

Either use proxies or throttle down your searching by limiting to the most relevant keywords, etc.. Other than that, expect to get shut down every so often.

Can you not use proxies with TT? You should seriously look into scrapebox. I have no idea what traffic travis does, but scrapebox is the best keyword research tool, PR checker, link checker, and about a million other things. It's the best 57 dollars I ever spent.

The only thing it doesn't do is tell you which keywords are easy, but there are other tools for that.

They also do this for too many queries (searches). Its because they think you're a bot eating up resources. Either wait a few hours (most I ever experienced was about a day) or just run through a proxy. No need to worry about cookies or anything its just your IP and it is just temporary.

PS - You're one of the unlucky ones, most of the time you will be displayed a page that says unusual activity has been detected and asks for a captcha then you're good again.

Firefox/SeoQuake will make this happen sometimes when you do an Advanced search with 100 results per page.

Like already said, it sets off a red flag & thinks your a bot, no biggie...

This is really scary. And no, they just shut me down. the Captcha didn't fix it.

      Makes me really nervous.

Any recommendations for a proxy (and how do you work with a proxy?)

      That's exactly what I did.

Never happened before, and I didn't get very far at all with that particular search. Are they cracking down?

And am I understanding this correctly that if I use Market Samurai or Niche finder & co, they're going to shut me down?

      Eeeek!

It happens kinda random, with SeoQuake.

All I do is clear my browser history & reset my modem, little red button on the back of the modem, just make sure to unplug the wires first, then clear the browser history with Ccleaner. Reconnect the modem, & done.

Google can't shut you down permanently, they just put a temporary block on your IP, which doesn't do anything since the modem can be reset.

It's annoying when doing research, but it's not a big deal.

Hmm, maybe enable cashing in seoquake preferences will help?

You can limit the number of queries to a certan number per minute/hour if you don't want to use proxies for whatever reason.

No should be temporary. Next time run the checks via proxies.

It's usually a temp ban, and that happens anytime google thinks a robot is trying to scrape their pages.
