Why are some of my pages not indexed?

I have recently discovered that a large proportion of pages on my site (maybe around 30%) are not indexed at all by Google. That is even when you copy and paste the name of the page, it doesn't show up in the search results.

The pages aren't spam, and it's all high quality unique contents like the rest of the sites. And some of these pages are not new, even over a year old.

Is there anything I can do for these pages to get them in the index?

The first thing is to ensure you have a sitemap so Google can easily find all these pages. It may just be the case that they haven't seen them yet.

Failing that, build some links to the pages. If the content is unique, as you say, then this will get them indexed relatively fast.

First, it's completely normal for any site to have pages that are not indexed.

Now, to increase the indexation, there are three things you can/should do:

    1. Ensure that your content is properly interlinked. Each page should have at least 1, but better 2 links pointing to it from somewhere inside your site.

    2. Get external links to the non-indexed pages.

    3. Get a Google Webmasters account and submit your xml sitemap to them.

Do those pages have linked in your site? If yes submit those pages to social bookmarking sites.

One way you can try is to send backlinks to those pages and ping your backlinks, when google finds those links they will crawl those pages and most likely index them.

It's a good idea to do some deep linking. In other words build backlinks that point to an inner page (one that isn't indexed) and not the main URL

    1) Page titles

This is a simple thing to fix. Just do some backlinks to those pages and google will index them much faster than waiting on a sitemap
