Have you had any luck getting traffic to your sites with Google Groups or Yahoo Groups?

I posted several ads yesterday to BOTH of those, it seems to have no impact at all.

Also, has anyone on here used the website Million Leads For Free - Your Number 1 Source for Leads and Traffics ? You have to read 10 messages on there per day to qualify for up to 5000 viewings of whatever message that you post. I saw it on YouTube - its free of course otherwise I wouldn't be using it.
(for now, anything I use has to be free)

    Hi,

I'm a very active user of Yahoo Groups totaling 360,000 subscribers since 2007. Then later on Google and recently Facebook Groups.

Should I write a complete 80-page WSO just for this? Maybe later. lol

Let me tell you something : PERSONAL ADS ON EMAILS DON'T WORK ON YAHOO GROUPS, if a key ingredient is missing.

Members are a mix of FREEBIE SEEKERS, thrill seekers, propagandists, anarchists, sympathizers of strange and real causes, skeptics, nuts, anti-establishments, special interest, opportunists, journalists, normal people, curious cats, smooth operators and many other colorful personalities.

So how do you tackle all the above people all at once ?
The answer is ====> Your Patience.

Open rate is very low unless the topic is HOT !

But 3 things really work to get traffic:
    1. Participate in active conversations with solid content
    2. Earn some respect from the kind crowds and hard critics.
    3. Have a signature in the email you posted.

Actually there's more to Yahoo Groups.
    1. You can make tonnes of friends
    2. You can get business partners
    3. You can get solid advice
    4. You can get a stream of followers

So how do you convert them into customers?
    1. ONLY when they trust you
    2. When they need to solve some personal issues

    Key ingredient =>> TRUST
    <<=

How do you know when they trust you?

    1. Read between the lines from their posts
    2. They start sending you emails directly
    3. They start to ask about you when you're missing for a couple of days.
    4. They start chiming in topics you started
    5. They support you when some people bash you.

I have some successes in Yahoo Groups:
    1. I got a book contract from a publisher and a second one I'm working on.
    2. My posts were re-published in popular newspapers. The articles carried my Yahoo nickname.
    3. Some issues I raised were brought to the attention of the authorities and Ministers.
    4. And of course, brought quality TRAFFIC - whenever I want.

What a claim ?! Hell, why not. It happened.

You only need 2 things to get Yahoo Traffic:
    1. YOUR PATIENCE &
    2. THEIR TRUST.

    Remember :
A forum can be deleted and can vanished completely. BUT... An email post in Yahoo Groups can be kept, forwarded and re-forwarded.
    Very viral.

Can backfire if you're not too careful with your words and sweet results if you're doing it correctly.

    Hope this helps.

      Nailed it!

Trust works on all the niche forums I belong to.

The key is, you have to be willing to give a lot upfront (content, etc...) in exchange for that trust. Once you have trust your golden!
