Hi Everyone! The name is Adam.

I'm new to the forums as well as IM and am really excited to get my business off the ground and running.

I chose Google Sniper to help me out since it made alot of sense to me. Google Sniper is micro niche affiliate marketing. Targeting specific low traffic keywords (3k-10k Globally) and building a review site around them linking to a product.

I'm sure anyone can answer this question for me since it is very basic. My keyword is "desktop slow". It has all the proper criteria, but since this is my first site I am having trouble identifying whether I will be able to rank on the first page. Half of the rankings on page 1 are forum posts, with low PR. Yet when I go to the websites homepage they are PRs of 5 and above.

Here is my question. Am I competing with the entire website as a whole or just the page that ranked under that keyword?

Again, newbie question here and I'm pretty sure I already know the answer, but just want to be 100% sure.

    In a sense, both.

Primarily, just the page currently ranking.

However you do have your competitor's domain age and authority that play (in this case) a very minor role.

Sounds like a winner in respect to competition though, so go for it.

I am curious though, when you researched your keyword did you examine Broad Match, Phrase, or Exact?

I did Phrase match when I researched it in Adwords. I know broad is inaccurate. Haven't heard much about exact though.
