Please help me with this

I have seen some website which indexes for the keyword even in the first position which is not at all used in the website. I have checked all the pages of that website but i cant find that particular keyword alone. I hoped that it might be because of anchored backlinks. I have checked all the backlinks of that website, but i have found only some 2 links anchored for the specific keyword. Eventhough i have my own website which focusses mainly on that particular keyword and gained nearly 100 backlinks, i am not even in the first page.

I am really confused about it. How come it got indexed for that keyword. Please help me with this by sharing your suggestions. Looking forward for your answers. Thank you....

There are lot of things that maybe Google consider in ranking sites. It's not just by backlinking. Until now it's a mystery what is the exact way or requirements of google in rankings the sites.

There are more than 200 parameters will consider to rank in google.

page may have synonym. When you search, Google will highlight it.

not all backlinks are found on any backlink checker tool. The website might have high quality links and it does not show up.
