SEO method ?

Hey guys,

This is my first post in this section...

I just wanted to ask a question which I cannot seem to find an answer to...

As you can see I have created a landing page (sig) but I am having trouble generating traffic to it due to low budget...

Is it possible for my lander to rank in at least the 4th or 5th page in google's results page for anything related to "making money from home"?

If it is, what would it take? How can I achieve this and what is the best way to go?

  • You're wasting your time if you're hoping to land on the 4th or 5th page.

    • I think what Mike is trying to say is that to only rank on the 4th page will not get you much traffic and probably wouldn't be worth the effort.

  • i always go for 1st page, for every website, i don't think is worth the effort to have it even on the 3rd page
  • Unfortunately, due to searchers' behavior, you do have to shoot for first page, and actually position 1-3.
  • exactly, most of the users don't even bother to look for second or third page against their query, if they found nothing interesting, they just type in another combinations and keep on hunting.

    • The statistics clearly show that top 3 is where you need to be.

      It's like this:

      56% click on the 1st link
      38% on the 2nd
      6% on the third
      0.3% on the fourth
      then downhill all the way after that

      This assumes that the searcher finds what he wants on the first page.

      If they don't then the above applies to the second page then the 3rd etc...

      Chances of someone not finding what they wan though by page 4?

      Not good...

      Ps the % is paraphrased from memory so not wholly accurate but not that far off the study results...

  • This is not difficult but you should work on your site.You do not have worked on on site and off page as well then how could you achieve ranking?

  • Well, Landing on 4th or 5th page is certainly not a nice option. But still you can have it for the start. It will be better for you if you work more on your project and make it much more acceptable.
  • i could rank page 4 or 5 for the first time of site setup at the begining with just on page SEO and with a good SEo to it, all my site rank pretty fast in the first page of google
  • as said before you won't get any traffic at all from that
