Yahoo Ads Coming?

      like it matters. I just went to Yahoo yesterday for the first time in months. I have not done an actual search on Yahoo for years. as of right now Yahoo's homepage looks more like a news site or online magazine. The search box at the top is like the last thing I notice I had to purposely look for it (LOL). the page design did not lead my eyes to the search box.

      Yahoo's blind arrogance even before Google was ridiculous. In 1999 I said Yahoo was crap everyone looked at me like I was some kind of retard. last time I checked Yahoo stock was around $16 and Google stock was around 500.

      Even before Google Yahoo was a battering ram of advertisements. I never liked their designs or the name( Yahoo ). actually the name kind of reflects the mentality of its operators. like monkeys swinging around a tree yelling Yahoo. that is how I imagine Yahoo senior management meetings. Monkeys around a conference table trying to figure out how to use the phone.

      when I go to a search engine ... I want to search... not get hammered in the face with a bunch of advertising. Somehow Yahoo just does not understand that

        Sure but they are one of the top 5 websites in the world and have been for 15 years. Yahoo ads would be a welcome addition to Adsense.

          Google buys about 10 companies a month.

        I think you've missed the point entirely. You wouldn't have to use Yahoo's search engine to be a Yahoo publisher. In the same way that the Bing/Yahoo search engine takes you to pages with Google ads, anyone could still use Google and arrive at pages with Yahoo ads on them.
