Title says it all. I want to set up Google analytics on a sub page of a homepage I'm already tracking. I've read that they should already be tracked once you paste the homepage code in but none are, only homepage. I'm sure if this solution was a snake it would have already bitten me. Thanks in advance Warriors~

The code needs to be pasted right before the </ head> tag in the header of each page which you want to track.

If you're using Wordpress or any other template driven CMS, all you need to do is paste the code in your header template correctly and it will track your entire site. In other words, you don't need a separate piece of code for every single page on your site, just the same piece of code pasted into the header of each page which you want to track.

Actually Ian, what you said to do isn't working. I pasted the same analytics code on all my sub pages 2 days ago but nothing new is showing up in analytics.

Maybe you are not pasting the code correctly.

Tell us what exactly you did, including what code you pasted and where.

This has happened with me once or twice with GA, don't know why it does that.

What I did was delete the profile completely from within my GA account and then start a new profile from scratch and re-paste the code. That seemed to do the trick.

This is provided that you are positive you are pasting the code correctly in the correct place in the header.

Are you using Wordpress, another platform, or is it static HTML?

If you delete the profile and recreate/repaste the code, then just go play around on the site a bit, click on some links and stuff, browse around, then check a little later in GA (changing the date to today's date) to see if it updated.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try creating a new profile, that sounds like it should work. And yea, I'm pasting everything correctly the sane way I did on the homepage. Thanks again~
