How accurate is Google analytics?

We have a number of sites, some of them linked to each other... but the stats don't match.

For example, from site A, I see 100 exits to site B. However when I check referrals from A to B using the analytics on site B, the numbers are significantly less.

The same goes also for referrals from Facebook PPC - the numbers we get from Facebook for clicks are very different from the numbers on Google analytics.

Has anyone experienced the same thing?

Service free tool like Google analytics is not accurate I think, but it can give you possibilities in results.

There are tools WAY better than Ganalytics out there, all of them are free.
Most notable are Piwik and Awstats

Surely Google analytics is not accurate but if you are looking out for alternatives for that than you can surely go for Yahoo Web Analytics, Piwik, Clicky, Chartbeat, etc.
According to me Clicky and Piwik are decent enough.
