      no doubt, but this is been going on for years. People obsess over it constantly just like back links. Even if you got 10,000 back links it does not mean they are helping you for a particular phrase.

      People just can't break the habit of obsessing over PR. At first I thought it was just noobs... But as you said it's really just a quantifiable object people want to have in hand to feel like they're getting somewhere.
