SOCIAL BOOKMARKING - ANYONE KNOW?

I am using a 3 tiered system to create links

Money site

^

Web 2.0

^

2 x Web 2.0

^

3 x articles to each of the tier 2 web 2.0


Until now I have just bookmarked the tier 3 articles.

A guy I know who is in seo was advising me on something. I am struggling to get a certain category to rank for an ecommerce site, so he suggested I create a load more tiered links as above, but this time only bookmark the category page. He said to bookmark it on digg/SU/del/reddit, but to create 8 or so accounts and do it manually.

Just wondering if this is good advice? What benefit would it bring to bookmark the category page when I am building links to it?

      lol, the exact opposite to what I have been told

      the thing is, is I bookmark tier 2 using the same accounts as tier 1 and my website, I will leave a footpring?

      also do u think its better using a mass submitted for one account, or creating 10 accounts on digg/SU/del/reddit and bookmarking each thing on each account
