So I got the following email from google, but I don't get it, because all I had through adsense was parked domains. I was planning to put it on my new blog soon, but now it is disabled. If I have other google accounts can I try to open a new account? Or do I have to do it all under someone else's name? I don't get it, there was no invalid activity, but it poses a risk. I am a little frustrated

Hello,

After reviewing our records, we've determined that your AdSense account
poses a risk of generating invalid activity.
Because we have a
responsibility to protect our AdWords advertisers from inflated costs due
to invalid activity, we've found it necessary to disable your AdSense
account. Your outstanding balance and Google's share of the revenue will
both be fully refunded back to the affected advertisers.

Please understand that we need to take such steps to maintain the
effectiveness of Google's advertising system, particularly the
advertiser-publisher relationship. We understand the inconvenience that
this may cause you, and we thank you in advance for your understanding and
cooperation.

If you have any questions or concerns about the actions we've taken, how
you can appeal this decision, or invalid activity in general, you can find
more information by visiting
Disabled Account FAQ - AdSense Help.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

I wish I could help, I also know someone who reached the minimum balance of 100$ for a check and his account got the boot. What is up with Adsense?

  • I made like $30, I mean really! Not like I made the big bucks, this is my first shot at making money with adsense. I'm sure I wont get the money. Which is fine, I just want to know if I have to use someone else's name and address and info, in order for this to work. I would not try to beat the system. I know Google will figure it out, I just want to be honest, and put adsense on my blog.

What do people do when this happens? Just open another account? I'm not going to give up.

It seems to happen a lot with Google. I can see their point about protecting advertisers, but it's a shaky thing to build a business around. I've been trying Infolinks on a couple of my sites and I was looking at my account today and thinking that if I switch the rest of my sites over from Adsense I would probably earn more.

So you were using Adsense for Domains presumably?

What area were your domains related to?

    Any of these:

    • Pornography, adult, or mature terms. This includes, but is not limited to, any terms that refer to or suggest nudity, partial nudity, sexual imagery/acts, lewd/graphic or profane language.
    • Violent or racially intolerant language or any other form of hate speech directed against an individual, group or organization
    • Excessive profanity
    • Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia
    • Gambling or casino-related content
    • Weapons, such as firearms, ammunition, balisongs, butterfly knives and brass knuckles
    • Beer or hard alcohol
    • Tobacco or tobacco-related products
    • Prescription drugs
    • Promotion of an illegal activity or an activity that infringes on the legal rights of others.
    • References to tragedies or other sensitive current events
    • Any other terms that are illegal, promote illegal activity, or infringe on the legal rights of others.

Man that one is a huge grey area... What if you had a news blog which reported on current news events then I guess Google Adsense is not the way to go for this.

However I see a lot of corporate news sites who have adsense on their sites and don't see them getting their accounts closed.

Yeah, this is the way. Make sure to use a new address when you register the new business.

This is what I worry about using Adsense as your main income.

Thankfully I don't but there is plenty of people here who have Adsense as not only their main income but their sole income.

This is why I would NEVER build a business around something like this.... Because Google got you by the balls and if they don't wanna do business with you anymore... You're screwed.

OP, never said If they used regular adsense ads, or adsense for parked domains.

They are not the same things...

Sounds like OP put regular adsense ads on a parked domain, which isn't allowed.
