Google Punished My Website From Testing A Homepage!?

Hi,

Recently I just changed my homepage from blog posts (where it was ranking number 1) to a page that just linked to the reviews with no text. Click throughs improved but my website vanished from the search engines. Even though I've changed my website back to normal it's still not in the rankings.

I would be extremely grateful if someone could tell me what's going on.

Your site may have been penalized by google for being spammy. It sounds like you just put a bunch of text links on a page, and that is considered spam by google.

    Your not penalized.

The old content is what helped rank the page, Google didn't find the old content after you made edits.

Look at the Google cache & try to get the same content that's in the cache, If you don't already have it on the page now.

It is easy to think because you did a, b happened. The drop in ranking may have had nothing to do with your changes but just a coincidence!

Google is always moving things around, especially with newer sites. I would not just have text links on your homepage though, you should have atleast a few paragraphs of text
