How Do You Track Your Rank For A Keyword?

Are there any sites or software out there that people recommend to track your rankings? I mean like you enter your sites and your keywords and it shows what # in google you rank?

Maybe one that even shows you a few stats like PR, backlinks etc for all your sites.

It must be so common but what's a good one?

    Hi....

I use Market Samurai for that. They have been kind of unreliable lately for some functions, but they are still pretty accurate with their ability to show you where your site/blog ranks for a particular keyword phrase.

They have a free 12 day trial you can try:

    Just Google "Market Samurai".

The section you are looking for is "Rank Tracker."

You enter in the keyword phrases you are wanting to rank for, and the URL that you are checking.

    Easy cheesy.

I had an iPhone app called SEO Ranking which was really good. It was like £1.20 ($2) or something.

You can create a website profile and then add keywords and it tracks the rise and fall of those keywords with graphs etc.

Unfortunately everytime I try to use it now it says Google API Error.

If there's another app like that then that would be fantastic.

    Any ideas?

good free version for tracking is Traffic Travis - Free SEO Software | The Best PPC & SEO Management Tool -Traffic Travis You can track your rankings and look at the comp for other keywords. you can't export with the free version, and it only tracks top 50 words, but it's very good.

SEO CHECK IS A LOT COOLER THAN SEO RANKING

Read the forum rules! And STOP posting nonsense one-liners, before you lose your account.

I did a bit of Google searching and ended up buying Market Samurai. It was $149 I think but it's got a great rank checker - and of course I can use it for other search engine research.

Take a look at Advanced Web Ranking. Has a 30-day trial. More than enough time to test it out.
