I have a new domain I've been backlinking a lot, and one of my SEO's set out a project and partly messed up my domain name to include a dash, and then no dash. I have heard this is bad and don't have enough data on my own to confirm it.
Dashes and no dashes in backlinking of domain...problem?

I have a new domain I've been backlinking a lot, and one of my SEO's set out a project and partly messed up my domain name to include a dash, and then no dash.
I have heard this is bad and don't have enough data on my own to confirm it.
What I mean is, my backlinks are now split thanks to my crummy SEOs into two different groups:
http://mydomain.com
and
http://mydomain.com/
Is this a problem?
If so, what is the solution?
I need to know. I have heard that this effectively splits your link juice into two entirely different directories, but I can't confirm this with my own data. Can someone please offer some advice?
