Hello to all fellow warriors,

I am finalizing the keywords
for one of my clients projects. While doing this I am getting confused somehow!

So, I would like to ask, How many types of keywords are there! I am not having any confusion with types of keyword matching that is broad, negative, phrases and exact. I don't want to know any thing about that, I basically wants to know the types of keywords! I have heard somewhere about single word, multiple word, theme based etc. From other resources I came to know the different type of classification that is primary keywords and secondary keywords, And so I am Confused what are are the specialties among these.

Please any one let me clear in some detail regarding this

Thanks a lot in advance!

Look for exact match keywords, but when you're doing analysis of your SEO competition, search with broad match keywords to find out your actual competition.

I use exact match when I'm trying to figure out how much traffic I can potentially get from a keyword, and I use broad match to find out about the competition for that keyword, because most people will not type their searches into google with quotes you have to find out what the competition is like without the quotes, but for the exact search query you are targeting you want to know how many people are searching for that exact keyword.

    Make sense?

Thanks a lot for reply me but I would like to say I have not got the answer What I am Asking for! Basically, I don't have any problem with selecting, by how many ways I can match the keywords, I am asking how many ways keywords are classified I mean types of keywords like primary, secondary, single word, multiple word, etc likewise How many types may be?

I hope you are getting the point.

      Thanks a lot in advance.

How many ways to classify a keyword?

How many shades of grey are there on the moon?

Why does that matter? I can't see how the number of ways to classify keywords is important in any practical way.

keywords depend on your niche. A lot of times you can see what keywords your competitors are ranking for and start there.

You may check the directory websites to get how many kinds of keywords exsit. It is hard to say how many types of keywords we can classify.

Car : a generic word, lot of competition.
Honda car : Keyword with specification
Honda Civic car : Keyword with more specification (it is also termed as long tail keyword.)

Honda civic car : if your website is about Honda civic car, then it can be your primary keyword.
Honda car : it can be your secondary keyword.
