Can google uncache a site?

Hi and I hope I am posting this in the right place and I did do a search to see what I could find but don't really know what to look for.

I have a site that started out with no rank at all and took a while to even show in rank tracker. After that I was bouncing between 47 and 100 something.

I stopped checking for about 2 weeks, was just busy etc. Anyway about 2 days ago I checked and was supposedly at number 20 but when I checked my keyword in google was at number 10 on page one. Also ranking # 2-6 for a whole slew of other related keywords.

Today according to rank checker I don't have any keywords ranking on google any where and when I do a lookup this page there is no google cache date and no traffic stats at all. Still says pr 0 and am wondering does that mean my site has been banned for some reason.

I have all original content (except reviews) and have done nothing to the site at all this week?

Thanks for any help or advice,
Kim

P.S. This is why I am going to start doing offline and F-google sorry but it's just bs IMO

  • Do you get results when you do a google search for site:yoursitedotcom ? If so, then you are still INDEXED.
  • search for your site by url in google. If it appears it's not banned. Google makes changes every day.
  • I am not showing up either way that I search? What on earth does it mean? I am still in google webmaster tools and it shows crawl errors 404 pages, below:

would this be the problem and if so how do I correct it? why would they deindex a site that is original content... just because I was finally getting good traffic for 3 days? ugh, so irritating

What in the world are you doing with 2 URLs in a single URL?

  • I understand it's frustrating, but c'mon now... I highly doubt they would de-index you just because you started getting traffic. You're not showing in search results on Google, though, that's for sure.

Given the amount of 404 errors (which I would think is the likely culprit as to why you have been de-indexed), it looks like it's something on your end. Ordinarily, I would ask if you had recently changed your permalink structure, but the majority of your pages are still loading just fine.

Either way, though, you really only have 2 choices: You can re-build the offending pages, or delete them altogether, and I would bet your site will show back up in the search results soon after.

Good luck to you with that. I/We certainly understand your frustration. If you wind up figuring out what happened, please let us know. I'm sure there are a lot of us that would be curious in case it ever happens to us.

    • I believe Andy fletcher has a brand newly developed plugin that auto fixes all 404 errors and broken links on your site (Well WP sites anyway)

I had an email yesterday from Lisa Gergets (sorry if I spelt that wrong Lisa)

I'd PM either of them and ask as it looked extremely good.

I'll find the email and edit my post shortly.

OP, your index page is DOA!

  • you must have a google webmasters account and from there you send Google which webpage you want to delete from google and they never cache it nor index again

    • Why do people base their whole business model on google, then
get mad when google does not want to be a partner? Google
could care less about you, me, or anyone else. Why do we
take it so personal? We are just specks on the internet.
People need to stop praying to the google god and get
a grip on their own success.

Google runs their multi-billion dollar company the way they see
fit. It does not take a personal note of us, banning us at every
whim because they just don't like us, or don't want us to succeed.
