Sandboxed or something else?

Hey everyone,

I have a fairly new site, approximately 2 weeks old. When I type in my target keywords, I can't find my site in google. When I type in my longtail domain name, it shows up #1.

For example, "dog training", I can't find my site on any google page. For "dog training hq", it shows up #1.

Has my site been sandboxed? Is it the google dance? The only reason I can think my site may have been penalized is too much keyword stuffing, in the sense that I used my keyword too many times throughout my site (not hidden somewhere).

Thanks in advance.
#sandboxed

The site is 2 weeks old & you question If it's been penalized because your not ranking for your keyword?

The only thing that will top that is If someone else post a Matt Cutts video.

Shouldn't the site at least show up on page 60+ than nothing at all? Maybe I'm being too optimistic. The first site I ever built was indexed and ended up on page 7 of google.

As you can tell, I'm a newbie. Maybe I just got lucky with my first site.

        Hi seoslick,

It sounds like you are expecting your brand new pages to outrank millions of other pages that have been optimized for your targeted keyword. Why do you think you deserve to be ranked so high?

One of the factors in ranking is trust. Your pages are too new to have earned much trust on their own. Start getting relevant backlinks from pages with good reputation. As you promote your pages with those backlinks your own reputation, and trust, will grow and help to earn higher rankings for your pages.

I don't think I deserve to be ranked so high. I just thought I might be on page 60+ instead of nothing at all, considering there is content on the site and I did write a couple articles (might not be indexed yet).

But yea, I'm going to take it as getting lucky on my first site. Will get straight to building backlinks. Thanks all.
