How I get indexed and ranked on page 1 of Google in 5 minutes

If you're looking for fast, instant organic Google traffic try this.

I do this all the time and 8 times out of 10 I get ranked on page 1 of Google in around 5 minutes.

I'll explain this step-by-step so you can see exactly how I do it.

I start by going to the PRLog.org website (prlog.org) I like PRLog as you don't need to wait for your press release to be approved. They're all approved instantly.

Fill out your info and click on "Create Account".

Once you've registered an account and you've logged in, click on the "Submit Press Release" link.

You'll then get to see all the great features you get for free.

Click on "Next" at the bottom. Now you'll be asked to submit your press release.

Enter the keyword phrase you want to rank for as the headline (min 20 characters).

Note: Ideally you want to go for low competition long tail keyword phrases (more than 3 words) where there aren't any authority sites on the first page of Google.

If you use Google Instant you can easily find low competition long tail keywords. If when entering your phrase into Google you see sites such as Ezinearticles and other article sites or classified ad pages or Hubpages or Squidoo etc..then you shouldn't have any problem ranking.

Enter the image text and then click "Next". Then enter your press release summary, body text (make sure you include a link to your website!) and choose an appropriate category. You can enter upto 3 categories.

Next to "Issued By" enter your name or company and enter your email below. You also have the option to upload an image.

You can also enter additional information such as tags, company profile etc.

At the bottom of the page click on "Go To Final Step".

You can now preview your press release. If you need to change anything click "Modify Press Release".

If you're happy with it click on "Submit".

Now, here's the exciting bit.

Go to Google and type in your keyword phrase. Refresh the results every few minutes and you'll see your press release appear in the top 10.

I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a PRLog press release to be indexed and ranked on the first page. Sometimes you'll find your press release ranking on Google's first page in as little as 2 minutes. Most are indexed AND ranked in 5 minutes on the 1st page.

PRLog press releases are also shown in Google News too which can bring you some good traffic.

This works great for ranking local search terms too. Many times I've ranked in the top 3 in Google in minutes for local keywords.

  • Another neat trick... not sure if this works for all press release sites, but a lot of times, you can get the RSS feed to your press release.... which means you can submit your RSS feed for your PR to RSS lists.

  • did it but can't see my press in google
  • Should be indexed. If you went after a competitive keyword you might not be on page 1.
  • Thanks for sharing this nifty little trick!
    Your thread gets ✪✪✪✪✪ (:
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Does this also work with foreign language press releases?!
  • Yes it does. I've seen a few foreign language press releases at PRlog.org

Great idea. Giving it a shot soon. But how long does it stay in page 1?
      • [1] reply
    • Add a few paragraphs then you'll be able to add a live link within your press release.

They also provide you with a list of incoming search terms which is very helpful.

The press release gets indexed and ranked normally in around 5 minutes on page 1 of Google if you follow the steps.

They stick around a long time. I've tested a lot of free release websites and most press releases disappear after a day or two but for some reason these ones stick around for months. I haven't done any backlinking with PRLog but I know from backlinking other press releases you can get them to stick for years.
  • I'll do a live case study later today in real time so you can see me getting one of these to rank on page 1 (probably top 3 listing) in a few minutes. I'll provide more details soon so you can see just how effective this is.
  • Awesome, thanks for sharing !
  • So Mark how long is your press release your do or do you just use an article instead??
    • [1] reply
    • They're about 200 words in length, sometimes less and you can use an article no problem.

  • Case Study

I'll show you a little "trick" I like to use to capture more traffic. When searching many people like to add the year at the end of their search. So I sometimes like to include 2011 at the end of my page title (press release keyword phrase) to pick up lots of extra traffic that others are missing out on by not including the year. Just by adding 2011 competition can drop significantly and you'd be surprised how many people add the year.

For this case study I've chosen the phrase

    order zara clothing online 2011

Great "buyer" keyword phrase with low competition = easy 1st page rankings in minutes.

I submitted it about 15 minutes ago and it's ranking at #5 in Google.COM

    Rinse and repeat.

I haven't applied to be an affiliate yet so for now I've linked to the official website in the press release. I can edit the press release later.
    • [ 2 ] Thanks

    • Actually, I've just checked the ranking on Google and your PR is ranked #4

It sounds very interesting and I am looking forward to testing it out.

      Thanks.
  • this is amazing. When you have an authority blog, you can rank highly for keywords whenever you make posts!
  • good information. Congrats on sharing this, people will like it .
  • Mark,

This is a very good tutorial and I did notice it worked well in past. However, since Panda, it seems that they were hit hard and that the releases don't last long in organic . I don't see the one you posted anymore. Have you found you need to use backlinks to get it back in or higher up in the serps since March?

    • This method still appears to work - and rather well at that.
My only issue is that I can't use anchor text without a premium press release, and those are $50 each.

    • Awesomeness! I love this compilation - thanks for making this!
  • Nice tips, the search engines love press releases, as they are considered a little bit more superior than article directories, so carry more weight

  • I just used your idea, the free service (prlog) and my site jumped dramatically higher in the SERP. Thank you very much! I am amazed.
  • Nice! I notice your press release has moved to number 4 in Google.
  • yes i have done it. but how ling it will stay in no. 1 page??i mean will it stay for about a month??
  • Thanks, I just started my site so I'll give this a try.
  • This is the reason why PR are now days a boom for SEO. Thanks for sharing.
  • STOP!

No need to go to PRLOG or any other news site. Just stay where you are!

Many a time I have seen a Warrior post a great piece of info on this forum, and together with his url in the sig, has appeared in Google within minutes. Google News too.

You can of course change your sig any time when you write something really good and you want to promote another website of yours.
  • I just copied and pasted the title of this thread into Google search as I finished the post above:-
How I get indexed and ranked on page 1 of Google in 5 minutes

and it is at the top of Googles listing together with my post!

    • Yeah, Warriorforum is nice too but I'm pretty impressed with what this single free backlink from PRlog does.

I suspect it's because Google has PRlog set up as an official news source.
  • Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I followed the instructions perfectly and my press release is ranked 318 in google for low competition long tail keywords. It's been almost an hour ago since I released the PR. Strange...

    Oh well
  • I did this and got great results! I think it would have been even better if I could use my anchor text in the link...

Does anyone know any other good press release sites that you don't have to pay for?
  • I tried it and apparently the keyword I chose was too competitive, but after 17 minutes I am on page 7.

    Thank you!

  • What a great share, I can't thank you enough!
  • Really awesome information,I always knew press release have the power to do it big.
  • For those that are interested in posting actual hyperlinks within their press release - try www.webwire.com

$20 will get you 3 anchor text backlinks.

They too are indexed within minutes.

Please dont abuse the system, make sure your PR is informative and factual!
  • Well its been over an hour now and my free press release still hasnt been indexed.

For immediate results (Ive been using them for years now) try prweb.com ($80) or webwire.com.($20)

I guess the results of prlog.com could be related to the fact that its a free and non moderated service.

At the time of the post it is a brand new blog, no indexation at all! But I had to delay press release for 1 day cuz of blogspot.com domain restrictions by PRlog.
Will check the results tomorrow or the day after tomorrow
  • Why the registration does not work? I can not get validation email!
  • Oh, well, I checked it out today, and... it is indexed

I am not sure... Actually I have registered there before, and I used not free e-mail address (I used one of my domain e-mail account on my Hostgator account). I showed up as a business person They really don't like free e-mails, the site is mostly for businesses, not spammy internet marketers
  • I hit a little bump with Webwire today. Some of the longtail keywords are too long to fit within the 25 character limit imposed by the Press release template. Is there any way around this?
    • [1] reply
    • This has always been hot garbage. Ranking a press release is not you ranking. In addition to a high bounce rate you will also have to consider the click through rate from the press release to your site.

So on a long tail that say gets 5,000 searches per month you will get only a fraction of the searches from bounces and then a fraction of the non immediate bounces that click through. In many cases you would be better going for some low long tail ranking straight to your site

  • I was doing PRLog releases for a while and they haven't resulted in anything; looking at my traffic stats they bring in nothing while old PRWeb releases, even ones that are a few years old, still generate traffic.

Having said that, PRLog is a great tool for reputation management after you've done the 100 or so social profiles, etc. Business names are near-zero competition keywords so it's easy to use free releases to push negative results way down in the SERPs.

  • Nice Strategy. But things have been changed a lot in recent days. So it needs some other Efforts to boost your Search Engine Organic Ranking.
  • I love warrior forum
  • Forgive me for being a pessimist, but I'm definitely confused.

Ok, so you target a long tail keyword, say 4 words, that has little competition on the first page.

You rank your press release on the first page for that keyword, (which is a weak keyword) and then what happens? .... you barely get any traffic?

I just don't understand how this would be different from targeting say... local towns?
Because I'm consistently able to get my own website on page 1 for keywords like that. And I'll tell you what, the traffic is barely existent. If I were to aim for a more competitive keyword, then the press release gets ranked lower, and I probably still don't get traffic.

Maybe I should just try it and shut up. But it seems people go crazy over press releases and I just don't understand what the fuss is about.

    -Red
  • If you want to go the free route, PRLog is a great way too go... They have a PR6, if that really matters to you...

But, you want to spend a few extra dollars on a Press Releases that's going to stick for a while in the TOP 10 of Google, even if you target more competitive keywords (keywords getting 20,000-40,000 searches a month) then I would go with SBWire or WebWire...

I use both of those and have Press Releases still sitting in the top 10 from last year, some even at #2 in Google.

    Holla!~
