KISS: Keep it SEO Simple with PageRank

Going After PageRank

Talk to any avid PageRank chaser and you will hear the same thing: leave PageRank alone and it will come to you. That's right. Don't pay PageRank any attention. Just focus on the variables that control it.

Focus on gaining quality inbound links that are relevant to your site's pages. Once you begin this practice, your PageRank will naturally improve, and you will naturally increase the amount of visitors to your pages. Again, KISS!

Building a good site means adding quality content with an organic flow of keywords. Be consistent in doing so, but don't get bogged down with the idea that you have to be PageRank-able.

  • I agree...but the fact is there is so much hype that has been created for pagerank and therefore people are trying hard to get it.But one thing I must say that is Google is a little slow is updating the page rank-I think this is the ares where the big G needs to improve itself.
  • Pagerank isn't really a big deal. It's updated very infrequently and the algorithm is pretty outdated. It's nice to have, but at the end of the day, it's only an authority measure for aged domains.

I generally try to go buy the page authority/100 score and Mozrank (also logarithmic and ten point), both from SEOMoz.
  • Page rank. I hear so much about it but not sure it even really matters. websites do really well in the serps with no page rank at all. Not sure I would ever chase it but you are right do everything right and one day it will come to you.........

Page Rank has to do with SEO.

Other than trying to get decent backlinks, which most times (not always) an authority page will have a higher PR.

    • For me the only thing that page rank counts for in SEO, is getting backlinks from high PR pages. If you reverse engineer any of the top sites in Google ranking for the big keywords, you will find they have a bucket of high PR backlinks. But yea, PR of YOUR actual site doesn't play a huge role in my humble opinion.
    • Totally agree here...

Too many people focus on PR yet in reality it has nothing to do with rankings.

I have seen many many PR0 been ranked #1 for high competition terms.

Page rank is only good when you are looking to COLLECT backlinks from them.

  • I agree that you should not chase pagerank. It baffles me how many out there chase pagerank exclusively and would turn down a low PR targeted / related backlink that takes minimal effort.
  • Backlinks are probably one of the best ways to get high page ranking quickly, but I would also suggest adding videos to the mix. You can get the top 10 FAQs in you niche and make a short video on each one (total ten) and put them on your website (& YouTube) and get higher ranking also.

I have recently found something that is the least expensive, most comprehensive set of tools to create an online business (and help get high rankings) that I have EVER seen. It used to be as much as $99 a month (and worth much more than that), but the creator decided he wants to help create lots of millionaires and he is offering it now at $9.95 a month. Can you believe that? If you want to check it out, you can call me at 713-201-6084 and I will give you the link They offer awesome (practically daily) LIV E training to help you learn quickly, as well as training tutorials that you can watch over and over. It is THE BEST $9.95 a month I have ever spent!

  • I completely agree. Page Rank is the icing on the cake; it's what you put into the cake that matters.
  • true. You should build quality and unique content and build a network of backlinks to this content. And if the content is good people will do this for you and Pagerank will be just another thing along the way
