For me link pyramid is easy to understand but time consuming. I had to read about it a few times to get the concept down. If you search out link pyramid in this forum you will see a ton of great information that has already been posted! The warriors here really lay it all out in their explanations. But make sure you read a few different view points to grasp the whole concept. good luck!

An example of technique i use that works great.
Let say my niche is dog training.

-I will create 10-20 Profiles, Sig Links, etc on Forums about dogs, dog training or pets.
-I will then build 300 high PR profile links to those 10-20 links. They don't have to be related to dogs.
-Then I use this guy on Fiverr to build 5000 links which are pointed to 2000 links which are pointed to those 300 links i created.

    Understand?

This example uses profiles, but it can be done with any kind of backlinks.

First off all, there are a lot of posts with great information, and a lot with misinformation. Lets start off the most common ways of people getting confused and wondering why their link pyramid doesn't work.

The high PR profile links, don't exist. There is no such thing as a high PR profile link, only high PR domains, which don't really matter anymore for profile links since the PR trickle isn't as much of an issue anymore. Next, profile links are generally low quality anyway.

Instead of a common link pyramid with profile links, you should be doing a link push with web 2.0 links.

Attached is a graph of a link push, which could technically be a link pyramid. If you want to use profile links, use them to link to the lowest tiers. This way you keep a clean link profile, while creating power and link juice.

Sorry to pull this thread back, I know it's a bit old. I've been looking into link pushing for a number weeks now and most of the structure makes sense to me. However, what I'm finding is that no one clearly addresses the method of linking all this together. Which keywords should I be using when creating links between properties (tier 1, 2, etc)? Should I be using variations of my targeted keyword throughout the entire structure or is there some ratio? What happens if I'm targeting more than one keyword? How does one go about doing this? Do I divvy up the keywords between properties?

If anyone can help clear this up for me, you'd be doing me an enormous favor. I feel I'm close to grasping this but I'm still missing a crucial piece of information.

        Thanks in advance.

        Sean

According to me, link pyramid is a black hat seo method, which is used for ranking websites quickly. Idea behind the link pyramid is majestic towers of spam links for excellent rankings.

I understand that it's black hat but for my particular site it's somewhat necessary. I was hoping someone could provide some information on how keywords should be used between tiers.

Very clear explanation of link pyramid. I think this will add value to your existing link building campaign. Creates many related web2.0 and will link to money site after that they can be linked from thousands of back-links.

Simply build links to your links. The common service provides about 250 high-PR links to your main site and then 3000 or so links to those links. Effective stuff if done correctly.
