wow, I have checked
Sell Online, Ecommerce Software, Affiliate Network | Plimus

PR: 7 I: 3,150 L: 1,020 LD: 2,925 I: 666 Rank: 733 Age: January 20, 2009 I: 326 whois source Rank: 77253 Density Links: 41 | 12

just 2 years and they have alexa 733, and only 3000 backlinks

how is it possible?

    # of backlinks does not equal # of visitors. There are many ways to get traffic, SEO is just one way. I usually promote with articles and content so I always get much more traffic from outside the SERPs.

    Also, the # of backlinks doesn't really matter at all. What if they had a backlink(s) from a super-authoritative site like cnn.com in there or Wikipedia or anything like that? 1,000s of blog comment and profile links couldn't compare.
