Ranking in Bing/Yahoo! vs. Google: What to do differently?

A number of my sites are ranking on the first page of the Google US SERPs for their primary keyword, some even fairly high up. However, when I use Rank Tracker to check them in Bing or Yahoo!, I notice that there are big differences between the Google rank and the other two search engines.

I know the majority still uses Google for searching, but I feel like I'm missing out on potential visitors without also ranking as highly in the SERPs from other engines.

What could I do differently to boost my SERPs ranking in Yahoo!/Bing to a level similar to that of Google?

Cheers

I sure wouldn't put too much focus on this. For ever $100 I make from AdSense, the search engine traffic that Bing and Yahoo combined sent account for about $1 of that.

Maybe others have better experiences to report.. but for me, they're both a waste of time.

Thanks for sharing your experience; maybe Yahoo!/Bing aren't that important, Adsense-wise; I certainly focus on actions that result in better Google rankings. However, if anyone else thinks differently, please chime in.

        That's pretty good advice there.

What do you do differently? Well, do the things google wants.
Yahoo/bing/whatever will either fall in line or not matter.

I have one site that google does not like, per se. But I've
done everything by the google book, The dang thing ranks #1
on yahoo and brings a boatload of traffic. Lesson learned.

Eventually, if you ranked in Google then later you will also get ranked on Yahoo and Bing. It's just a matter of time. Google, Yahoo and Bing has its different algorithms.

Thank you, everyone. I guess the consensus is to simply keep doing what I'm doing and the rest will follow. Cheers!
