Does Adsense improve PR??

I have a fairly new domain name and created a basic 2 page site.

It has some pretty basic info on it regarding a different site in the hope of getting a few hits and of course creating a link.

I added Adsense to the 2 page site a few weeks ago and went on holiday. Come back and I find that the site is now PR4, previously PR0.

Is it possible that Google ranks sites higher if there is some Google marketing on it?

  • One very short answer: "No"
  • No, never....
  • Hi,

IS this happen ad sense improve site pr?
  • No... Adsense does not improve your site PR... what if some sites which don't have Adsense? No PR? No right??? =)
  • I want to know who promote such type of rumour? You will get PR increase or decrease when Google update PR for all sites. It is not like that what you say.

  • Google Adsense does not help to improve PR. It might be that when you was on leave Google did update PR and due to this your site get high PR. Not for Google adsense.

  • If it's open to easy abuse then it probably wont
  • No, adsense can never help you to improve your PR.
  • It's a big NO..
  • I jut bought a domain and hoting........and jut learning to set up...... looks like I have lot of things to learn
  • damn.. how many times do you guys need to say no? I think OP understands.

My advice... sell while it's still a PR4.
  • No, it will not.
  • No adsense wont improve PR but it doesn't hurt it either. How did you get your site to be a PR4 so fast?
  • I do not think Adsense is going to improve the PR. Just imagine how many blogs are out there with nothing much on them but Adsense. If putting Adsense boosts PR, then those blogs should have a good PR.
  • No, PR can be manipulated very easily though.

    The answer is also no!
  • Aaahh,

    No, i mean never.

Adsense doesn't effect PR and ranking as well. It is just drive your website traffic to other resources whose are placing in adsense.
  • i am not sure
  • It won't! Google has its own ad principles!
