Are these any good? Do they help much or not worth doing?

I ask because it doesnt seem to be mentioned much and i've just stumbled upon it so its got me wondering.

    Press releases are a good way to get backlinks - they can work if they are picked up and syndicated on popular sites that keep your backlink in the article.

    the same press release can be syndicated on many sites - sometimes 100s - potentially giving you 100s of backlinks from established sites.

    Press releases are a great tool to use and can give you a great boost in the overall promotion of your website. You can have many (PR) sites syndicating your content as well as your backlinks in a short space of time.

    You should always be building other types of backlinks to your websites as well so you are keeping your backlinking mixed.

    So use preee releases as they are great for boosting your site, but also look to be building other solid backlinks over time
