Start with the top blogs in your niche.
Add them to an RSS reader and check them daily.
Once you find a post that is interesting for you, read it and leave a meaningful comment on the topic.

It not only gives back links, it also keeps you up to date with what is happening in your industry, and it's a start in getting your name known.

Commenting on high PR blogs is a good way to get backlinks. You should choose only high PR blogs that are not spammed with hundreds of comments.

You should also post valuable comments that will make people stop to read them and then click your link. That's another advantage of commenting, not only backlinks but also kind of social promotion.

I recently paid a fiverr gig $5 to get 300 back links. I noticed all the links he produced were made up from blog comments. Not sure if this will help me at all, but its an easy way to get your name out there at least.

Blog commenting works if it is done in appropriate way.Commenting on high pr and do follow blogs still work well.Commenting on no follow blogs also work but they take time to index by Google.Commenting on edu and gov blogs work-thats proven.

1) how do I know that she is really working?
2) What are the measures used for payment? ( should she submit to me the links where her comments appeared? But what if she commented but was denied?)

Blog commenting is good if the site in question is an authority site, and ofcourse since the search engines love blogs, leaving comments on relevant blogs with a link back to your site is an easier way of getting backlinks, compared to say writing articles

In order the results are quickly visible, you should make a plan:

1. At least make 10 comments every day. PR blog / website can be mixed, there is a high, medium and low PR so it seen natural.
2. The comment should on the same niche, but could be added other niche like make comment at Warrior Forum.
3. Do not make the spam comment. It is a futile act.
4. Select the two or three keywords that we will increase its ranking. If it is successful, we can change the new keyword or other URL.

High PR blogcomments on unspammed pages have lost a lot of their strength. We've tested it over and over and only noticed very small ranking increases, and then I'm talking about PR4 pages with max 50 OBL.

Blogcomments at high relevant sites sure help a great deal.

What's the competition level? I'm finding that in low competition phrases they're still pretty strong. I tend to avoid medium / high competition keywords.
