Why does the same search (Karaoke Machine Reviews) made in broser Internet Explorer and goggle Chrome give very different results. Both in google.com?

Explorer = pag 4 position 7
Chrome = pag 9 position 4

which the engine more reliable?
#search engine optimization #chrone #explorer #google
  • I hope you are writing about google chrome and not Chrone of Chone...right?

    BTW your results can be skewed by your own visits. You must clear you cookies when checking your own results.

  • I deleted the Cokies but the results remain the same.

    The only difference is that the Internet explorer is in English and chrome is in Portuguese, but both are google.com NOT google.pt
  • I don't know this for sure but since Chrome is produced by Google, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it was sending home WAY more data than other browsers.

    If you think about it, why else would Google be in the browser business if there wasn't some advantage to their bottom line?

    If they wanted to, they could know every search you did, every page you visited, every link you clicked, every image or video you viewed, every ad you've seen, every ad you've clicked - actually, anything they want, and all because they wrote (or customized) their browser to do it.

    Cheers,

    Neil

  • Login and disable web history, staying logged out doesnt help anymore.

    • Logout of any Google services (gmail, aswords, adsense or analytics) BEFORE clearing your cookies and deleting your web history.

      If you delete before logging out, active cookies can remain. That should clear it up.

      In fact I have actually gotten 3 different result sets searching the same term in Chrome, FireFox and IE.
  • I'm out (logout) of everything that is google and also deleted history when I deleted the Cokies.

    Perhaps, like Neil Morgan says, google adapts the search to my preferences, or perhaps make a difference between English (explorer) and Portuguese (chrome) even though both are google.com
