I am just curious if anyone here has had their adsense account banned or blocked and why.

Let us know what you were doing wrong, and what types of websites you had and how many.

Lol, I was getting ready to post the same type of comment.

Getting banned from Adsense is like people in prison, they are all innocent! If you don't believe me, just ask them.

Oh I know, I was just hoping that after a few years people might fess up and say, ok so I did have 300 sites and all of them had the same clickbump theme, I could see why google didn't like it now.

So far it's all been invalid clicks, good to know. Wonder if there are any other stories out there??

I wonder how many of those "Invalid clicks" are from certain traffic generation techniques google hates. I don't understand why google hates it as long as the clicks are natural, but I don't make the rules.

I'm slowly climbing out of the noob stage, but does Google frown on using the same theme on all your niche sites? If we're providing value to the customer, why does the type of theme your using matter?

Some people use the xfactor theme on all of their micro niche sites and are doing just fine. The fear is that if Google ever did a manual review of your sites they may start to de-index them based on the theme alone. This theory is based on it looking like a MFA site, but any theme can make a site look like MFA if the content is very thin and the ads are the main focus. If your adsesne account gets banned it's because you violated the TOS.

I wouldn't worry too much about the theme and just focus on providing quality content.

Thanks Nexus7, that's what I always thought. I'm using a theme on some of my sites that is optimized for Adsense but I'm certainly providing high quality content to my visitors and adhering to the TOS, so I also believe the theme shouldn't matter. Thanks for your comment.
