Is This Going To Get My Adsense Account Banned? (Screenshot Included)

Hey guys, I'm starting to make more money now with Adsense, (between $10-30 a day)

And I easily can get that to $50 + with minimal work.. But I am starting to get pretty paranoid of being banned as well, this is the layout I am using on all 40 of my adsense sites:

There is a 728 X 15 adsense link unit at the top above images, one left sidebar unit, one unit to the left of the text right below the images, and one text unit at the end of the content that is not shown.

Now I have all original content, this home page has about 7-800 words of content, and I have other posts below as well.

My main concern is the 728 X 15 link unit right above the images, is this going to be construed as "deceptive link placement"?

Adsense experts or anyone else feel free to answer, Thanks!

I just want to be honest. Your Ad is in the prime spot for people to click.

However, it is a bit misleading... in that it is possibly tricking people into clicking your Ad, which is against TOS.

This is CTR theme, and i think there shouldn't be any problem with these ads placements.

Not sure about getting banned but the ads running accross the top of the page below your title are against googles adsense TOS they could be confused as links to pages on your site.
If i`m wrong sorry i often am

According to this link here, you are only allowed three units on one page:

How many Google ads can I display per page? - AdSense Help

So you are in violation of their TOS for that. As far as ad placement, I'm not sure about that. If you are using the CTR theme, however, you should be fine in that respect.

There is no violation regarding the number of ad placements.

You are allowed 3 Link Units and 3 Ad Blocks per page.

He is only using 1 Link Unit and 3 Ad Blocks.

        So no problem there.

Besides, if you tried using more than the allowed number of ad placements, your page would only show empty space where you placed the additional ads.

I would however perhaps add an underline to the title to give separation from the Ad Block directly below it.

Even if you or anyone else put more than 3 link units or 3 AdSense for content units the 4th one or more, will not appear, it will just show a white or yellow blank space there. So that doesn't really matter, even if you put 'em there.

Thanks for replies guys :] I really have no idea if the sites are ok or not, the TOS is somewhat vague and open to interpretation..

I guess the best thing to do is keep adsense as a side income only

I`m not sure how to do it either i see alot of the made of adsense themes that are coming out have this underline feature build into them,
The thing is you know how keen google are at taking care of their adwords customers and the fact is if you look at thoses ads they really could be mistaken for links to pages on your site so the visiter could click them by mistake no getting away from it they really do look like page links.
If you are not sure how to make the line across the page and i`m no coder just write a line or two of text just a sentence to welcome the visitor to your site and this is exactly what i do.

There you go i`ll remember that myself, Craigs always a really helpful guy on this forum and has given me advice before !!

Just remembered something myself about the ads your worried about under the title.. I remember a adsense course that came with a theme sold on the WF i think it might still be available not sure but his theme was built to disply adsense links directly under the title exactly the same as you are displying with no line or text to seperate, I actually got a email from the course owner telling me that another user of his course and theme had been sent a email from google adsense team and they where not happy with these ads they didn`t ban his account just disabled the site i think untill the ads where changed so i thinks its fair to say that the ads in that position are 100% against their TOS

You could just set the ad to show on the right (not optimal) or have it randomized (changes from left to right position) in the CTR Theme settings.

Another look at optimizations - Inside AdSense

      1. Ads shouldn't be placed under a title or section heading in a way that implies that the ads are not ads.
For example, ads shouldn't be placed under titles such as "Dallas Business Opportunities" or "Today's Hot Deals". Placing ads directly below titles such as these implies to your users that the links in the ads are publisher-created content. The example below shows a placement that does not follow this guideline.

He's not using 4 ad blocks. Get a grip people.
You can have 6 units! 3 ad block units, 3 link units.

One of his is a link unit!

It may not get you banned, and link units won't really get
any accidental clicks. You have to click twice to get paid.
If the first click is accidental, it does not matter. And I can't
see how a second click would be. You have to want to click a
      link on the next page.

It is against TOS, to place a title directly above the links.
You could place it above, put a banner and put it above the banner.
Something like that, if discovered, probably would get a
      disable on that site only.

But nobody here works for google, and many, many people get
      away with bending the rules.

It's not about number of ads - it's about placement.

The images so close to adsense would worry me more than the title on this page. It could be the text below is enough to overcome that - but only google will decide that.

Point is - no one here knows whether you are too close to the line on your site. If it were me I'd have a horizontal line between the title and ad and I'd have some content between images and ads. It might not be necessary but my practice is to err on the side of caution with adsense.

I agree, placement is most important not the number of ads you have, infact too many ads can steer people away instantly. Some well placed ads will earn you much more income, then ads spammed all over the place.

You must keep a safe distance between ads units and navigational links because most of the accidental clicks occurred due to closeness of ads unit and navigational links.

For how much distance in pixel between ads unit and navigational links, read this post:
